Great Conditions for Skiing and Boarding in Bansko

Bansko offers great conditions for Skiers and boarders of all standards and is internationally recognised as one of the Top 10 ski resorts for beginners.

The Bansko ski centre has over 70 kilometres of marked ski runs and cross country tracks including a long 8km home run back into the resort. All runs are groomed by slope maintenance vehicles to guarantee maximum safety and pleasure. The ski runs are serviced by a number of chair and drag lifts.

In addition to on-piste skiing, skiers and snowboarders are welcome to the fun park in the Platoto area which offers fans of the extreme winter sports the option to ski over present artificial bumps and jumps as well as to build those on their own. Also, the half-pipe located by the place where Bansko’s famous snow towers are usually built, offers both skiers and snowboarders an arena to boast their latest tricks.

Beginners
First-time, beginner skiers and snowboarders will find Bansko has plenty on offer. With excellent tuition from some of Bulgaria’s best English speaking instructors, learning in Bansko couldn’t be any more fun.

Children
For the kids, the resorts kindergarten provides an excellent introduction to skiing with the 'Wonder carpet', There's also a ski carousel and plenty of other entertainment to keep all ages entertained.

Intermediates
There is an excellent choice of blue and red runs, for budding intermediate skiers and snowboarders, all joined by a network of chair and some drag lifts. Our instructors are also capable of offering technical tuition for intermediate skiers wanting to improve.

Advanced
As a regular host to extreme off-piste competitions, Bansko is known for its powder fields, extreme terrain and off-piste action. In addition to its off-piste reputation, some of the red runs and the Alberto Tomba black run offer the advanced skier and snowboarder plenty of less extreme challenges in the main ski area.

If you’re a snowboarder, then you’ll love the wide pistes and tree-lined runs which provide plenty of opportunities to go off-piste.

Hiring of Equipment, Ski Passes & Ski Instructors
There are several ski rental shops and ski instructors in Bansko and passes are available from the Ulen ski centre, but to avoid delays we recommend that you order your passes and equipment before you leave from Bansko Ski Mania
