Great Places to Eat Out in Bansko
Here are some restaurants recommended by owners of properties in Bansko.
Motikita
Directions: Continue up Pirin Street past the Kempinski Hotel is on your right; continue up the mountain for
approximately 300 meters, and you will see Motikita on your left.
Please Note, during peak season you will have to book in advance.
The Banski Han
Directions: The Banski Han is located at the bottom of Bansko. Go down Glazne Street through two sets of traffic
lights, at the third set turn left towards the big supermarket. The Banski Han is around 100 yards on your left
opposite the petrol station across the road from the supermarket.
The Olive Oil House Directions: Difficult to explain clearly but best to walk down Pirin
Street towards the church and there is a big yellow sign pointing right, which is in Bulgarian but actually points
towards the restaurant.
Bunare Tavern
Good food and wine together with traditional dancing, at the end of your meal your bill will be delivered with an
axe.
Directions: In Pirin Street approximately halfway between the Lion Bar and the Town Centre.
The Avalon
During the winter season (December –April) the Avalon hosts a ‘Curry Night’ every Thursday. It is very popular and
boasts a fantastic atmosphere as well as great food.
Directions: There are signposts for the Avalon Hotel throughout Bansko but again probably best approached down
Pirin Street and follow the signs.
